Rich, chewy and naturally sweet, these No-Bake Chocolate Oat Bars are the perfect high-protein snack to keep in the fridge. Made with oats, peanut butter, dates and a boost of our chocolate protein powder, they deliver sustained energy and a satisfying texture without the need for baking. Topped with a smooth layer of dark chocolate, each bar is balanced with fibre, healthy fats and plant-based protein to support recovery and keep cravings at bay. Ideal for a quick breakfast on the go, a post-workout bite, or a healthier dessert option.
Ingredients
Base
1+1/4c oats
2/3c creamy peanut butter
2 tbsp ground flax seed
1+1/2 tbsp ground chia seed (or whole!)
1/2 tsp cinnamon
2 tbsp choc protein powder
3/4c dates
Chocolate Topping
1/2c chopped dark chocolate
1/4c almond milk (or other dairy free milk)
1 tbsp chocolate protein powder
Method
Soak dates in boiling water for ~10mins to allow them to soften. Drain water then add dates to a food processor with 1/2c water. Blend until consistency is similar to a paste.
In a bowl, mix together oats, peanut butter, date paste, flax, chia, cinnamon, 2 tbsp protein powder with 1/2c of water
Add mixture to a small bread pan lined with parchment paper
In a double boiler, melt chopped dark chocolate. Once chocolate is mostly melted, stir constantly while adding the dairy free milk with 1 tbsp protein powder.
Spread chocolate topping on mixture evenly
Let sit in freezer for ~30 mins
Remove from the freezer and cut into 8 servings
Store in fridge
